Apples

In North America, the U.S. had a stable market for imported fruit.

In Europe, there were quick sales and firm prices for imported fruit. In Russia, there was a moderate market for red varieties in particular.

In Asia, there was a volatile market and low supply for imported apples on the Chinese market.

In Latin America, sales were stable in Colombia.

Avocados

In North America, the U.S. had good sales activity and prices registered a slight increase.

In Europe, there were high volumes of Peruvian Hass pressuring the market. The market for green-skin varieties was a little more clear.

Grapes

In North America, the season was over in the U.S.

In Europe, the season was also over.

In Asia, volume from the Chilean supply had dropped. The season from the U.S. was expected to begin during the first days of August.

In Latin America, there was a stable market for the fruit and good condition in Colombia.

Kiwifruit

In North America, the U.S. had a moderate market with price adjustments on the West Coast.

In Europe, there was a strong market and low supply. In the U.K., there were low volume sales and price stability for the Chilean supply. In Russia, the market showed good activity.

In Asia, there was low supply of kiwifruit on the Chinese markets.

In Latin America, there were moderate sales in Colombia and Brazil. Prices were stable.

Pears

In North America, summer pear volumes from Sacramento and San Joaquin Valley increased in the U.S.

In Europe, there was a low amount of imported pears seen on the market. In the U.K., the market was strong and prices stable. In Russia, Argentine Packham’s showed moderate sales rhythm and prices fluctuated.

In Asia, sales were not reported this week.

In Latin America, sales were stable in Colombia, while in Brazil the pace was moderate.
