Two positions, of HR manager and supply planner, are available to recent graduates, offering 18 months works across the company's business, including three months in both Europe and Asia.

In a statement, Zespri global sourcing partner Bernadette Ryan-Hopkins said the entity's excellent future outlook meant it needed to find the best people for the job.

"The kiwifruit industry is looking at serious growth– with export revenue set to triple to (NZ) $3 billion (US$2.6 billion) by 2025 – and Zespri wants the brightest and best employees onboard to grow our business," she said.

"This new graduate recruitment scheme is part of our commitment to develop the future leaders of this industry."

Applications are welcome from all graduates, with skills in languages, horticulture, marketing and IT particularly relevant, but Ryan-Hopkins explained the most important factor was the right attitude.

"The successful applicants will also have a senior executive mentor for their time at Zespri – an excellent opportunity to get advice from someone who’s worked their way through the business," she said.

Applications are open from 28 July to 25 August to New Zealand residents who have graduated within the past 12 months.

The grower-owned company sells kiwifruit in 53 countries around the world and enjoys an annual sales revenue of NZ$1.35 billion (US$1.2 billion).
