U.S.: Curry & Co partners with Norris Family Farms

Brooks, Oregon-based berry and vegetable grower Curry & Company has announced it will be expanding its conventional and organic blueberry offerings thanks to partnership with Norris Family Farms.

The deal with the company from Umpqua, Oregon, also includes kiwiberries, which Curry & Co describes as an exciting product that is growing in popularity with retailers across the nation.

Norris Family Farms, established in 1976 by Paul & Sandy Norris, are well-known for their high quality blueberries which they pick and pack from June until the end of September.

Peak volumes on their southern Oregon farm are generally earlier than the rest of the region and this provides customers with a key transition from California to the Pacific Northwest.

"Weā€™re very excited to have the Norris family as a partner. Their export-quality fruit, exceptional farm and facilities, and shared values make for an excellent fit. Weā€™re both family owned and operated, and are committed to supporting our communities," Curry & Co president Aaron Ensign said in a release.

"Curry & Company played a big role in our entering the blueberry business many years ago. Weā€™re pleased to align with a dynamic and talented group that still appreciates family farms. We look forward to a great 2018 season," added Dr. Paul Norris.
