Demonstrators have lifted road blocks in the Argentine lemon-growing province Tucumán following a 30% wage rise deal, reported Lagaceta.com.ar.

The deal was reached between the Argentine Rural and Dock Workers Union (UATRE) and the Tucumán Citrus Association (ATC), the story reported.

UATRE regional delegate Pedro Lobo said the wage was established at 106.70 Argentine Pesos (US$26.33) per day, as well as a non-remunerable lump sum of 195 Argentine Pesos (US$48.13) to be given in July, the story reported

He told La Gaceta the wage deal did not include harvesters who work on Saturdays.
