Fruit Attraction 2025 expands with record exhibitor growth, international reach
The 17th edition of Fruit Attraction, organized by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, will return from September 30 to October 2, 2025, with a record 2,460 exhibitors confirmed ā up 8.4 percent from 2024. This yearās show will span more than 840,000 square feet of exhibition space (an increase of 10 percent), across 10 halls at IFEMA MADRID, with organizers expecting over 120,000 professionals from 150 countries.
The international fruit and vegetable trade event, sponsored this year by Andalusia, continues to grow in size and global scope, with 323 new companies exhibiting and 14 countries participating for the first time, including Ethiopia, Jordan, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.
Sector expansion and global reach
Domestic exhibitors account for 52 percent of total participation, with the remaining 48 percent representing 1,418 companies from abroad. Halls will be organized by region and sector, designed to enhance the experience for both visitors and exhibitors.
Roughly 70 percent of the show floor will be dedicated to the Fresh Produce Area, while the Auxiliary Industry and Fresh Food Logistics zones will return to showcase cold chain solutions and transport. The Innova&Tech area ā which includes Biotech Attraction and Smart Agro ā has grown 31 percent over last year, according to organizers, highlighting its increasing relevance in industry innovation and tech development.
New programmes and featured markets
Malaysia and Mexico will serve as Guest Importing Countries for 2025, participating in roundtables, B2B sessions, and guided tours. Tomatoes will be this yearās featured product, with special programming to highlight their ānutritional value, economic relevance and role in global trade dynamics,ā according to the organizers.
A new Organic Hub Tour will guide attendees through companies offering organically certified products, while nearly 700 buyers from 67 countries will be hosted under the International Buyers Programme, supported by IFEMA MADRID, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, ICEX, and FEPEX.
Innovation, awards, and programming
The Innovation Hub will showcase 50 new products, with the Innovation Hub Awards recognizing standout innovations and business developments. Other awards include the Best Stand Awards (across four categories), the 15th APAE Journalism Awards, and the Fruit Attraction Awards for international media.
The Fruit Forum by Timac Agro will host technical sessions, including Grape Attraction and Biotech Attraction, while events such as Biofruit Congress and Fresh Food Logistics The Summit will also return. Culinary programming continues with live demonstrations at FactorĆa Chef, sponsored by #alimentosdespaƱa.
The event is backed by Spainās Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, with Minister Luis Planas scheduled to open the fair. Alongside main sponsor Andalusia, official partners include the Region of Murcia, Veganic Nature, Agrobank, Timac Agro, Ćnikas, and MSC.
