The expanded program enhances flexibility and promotional opportunities for retailers while meeting the growing demand for both organic and conventional berries.
Between September and January, Homegrown’s import berry program now features Peruvian blueberries (conventional and organic blueberries), including the Emerald variety grown at high elevations, prized for consistency and dependable flavor.
From December to February, Homegrown will also feature Chilean blueberries (conventional and organic) sourced from leading production regions, providing a seamless volume to carry programs through winter.
Finally, from October to May, Mexico will provide a diverse mix of conventional and organic blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, including the premium Erandira blackberry. The offering will also include select raspberry varietals known for quality and flavor.
“With the addition of Peruvian blueberries and Mexican blackberries, we’ve significantly increased our volume and consistency,” added Jacob Garcia, Imports Category Manager at Homegrown Organic Farms. “We’re excited to work with our partners across Mexico, Peru, and Chile to build strong berry programs that deliver value across the supply chain.”
A network of sustainability-conscious partners across the globe
Just as important as fruit quality, Homegrown prioritizes partnerships with growers who share its values of stewardship and care for the land.
By aligning with partners committed to responsible farming practices and long-term sustainability, the company extends its mission beyond the field: fostering healthier soils, stronger communities, and a resilient food system for generations to come.
Packaging flexibility, along with a range of pack formats and private-label capabilities, gives retailers the tools they need to meet consumer demand for both quality and convenience.
