Oppy picks up another culture win as it enters Hall of Fame

Oppy has secured a spot in Waterstone Human Capital’s Hall of Fame after earning a Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures award for the fourth time, the company announced. The 2025 honor places Oppy among 11 organizations recognized nationally in its category for performance-driven workplace culture.

Waterstone president and CEO Marty Parker says the awards highlight organizations that intentionally build cultures designed to support growth and long-term performance.

“These awards recognize the very best in high-performance corporate culture—those leaders and organizations that have built and nurtured performance-driven cultures and that are at the forefront of culture best practices,” Parker states. “This year’s winners actively craft high-performance cultures and serve as an inspiration for others who want to do the same.”

Oppy previously earned the recognition in 2016, 2019, and 2022. The Vancouver-based grower–marketer plans to celebrate the latest award at Waterstone’s summit and awards event in Toronto on March 31, 2026, where it will debut a video detailing how company culture supports employees and partners.

“Culture is the foundation of everything we do at Oppy: How we collaborate, innovate and ultimately deliver for our growers, customers and each other,” says Satri Alpine, vice president of talent and culture and chief people officer. “Being welcomed into the Hall of Fame is an incredible honor and a testament to the collective effort of our people, who bring our values to life every day.”

Oppy describes its overall approach as rooted in collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, supporting its “expect the world from us” promise across its North American growing, production, sales, marketing, and distribution operations.

Chairman, President, and CEO John Anderson said the company’s culture framework provides strategic direction. “A healthy culture is the gauge of an organization’s long-term success. At Oppy, we’re united in our goals, equipped to achieve them, and committed to keeping ourselves strategically and culturally on track. I couldn’t be prouder,” he adds.

Waterstone evaluates award recipients on leadership vision, cultural alignment, hiring practices, talent development, corporate social responsibility, diversity initiatives, and organizational performance, according to the announcement.
