Naturipe digs deeper on regenerative push this Earth Day
This Earth Day, Naturipe Farms is putting a spotlight on the future of berry farming by advancing a clear, grower-led approach to regenerative agriculture. With a renewed focus on soil health, water stewardship, biodiversity, and resource-efficient farming practices.
The company said it is making long-standing on-farm practices more visible and measurable as part of its brand, with a focus on strengthening farm resilience and improving transparency for customers and supply chain partners.

Naturipe growers are prioritizing soil-first farming decisions, including planting cover crops to improve soil biology and adopting irrigation strategies designed to conserve water. The company said these efforts aim to support long-term productivity and sustainability across its network of family farms.
“At Naturipe, our growers' land stewardship starts with the soil,” said Janis McIntosh, Director of Marketing Innovation and Sustainability. “Our network of family farms understands their land better than anyone, employing regenerative practices that build healthier soil, safeguard water, and nurture ecosystems. This is responsible agriculture, and we are proud to tell their stories.”

The company said growers are using cover crops, natural nutrient cycles, and reduced inputs to improve soil health and long-term land productivity. Water management remains a priority, with farms adopting more efficient irrigation systems alongside breeding programs and resource planning to reduce overall water use.
Naturipe also highlighted biodiversity initiatives, including planting flowers to attract pollinators and encouraging beneficial insects to help maintain ecosystem balance. In addition, the company said it is working to reduce waste through composting berry byproducts and recycling materials back into farm operations.

Beyond production, Naturipe is increasing outreach and education efforts. According to the company, one grower-owner is hosting students for hands-on farm visits this week, while another is introducing younger students to agricultural careers at a local school. The company also recently hosted agricultural leaders for operational tours.
Naturipe framed the Earth Day initiative as part of a broader shift toward more consistent communication about its farming practices and the growers behind its berry supply.
