Local Bounti's sales grow 28 percent on expanded production

Major indoor farming vegetable producer Local Bounti experienced a 28 percent year-over-year growth in sales, according to its latest financial report for the second quarter of 2025. The company attributes this positive result to increased production and sales in the states of  Georgia, Texas, and Washington.

The company reported a total of $12.1 million in sales this Q2, nearly $3 million more than the same period last year.

Local Bounti says all investments in its facilities will continue to pay off, and expects an acceleration in growth towards the end of the year. Some of the operational optimization decisions include reducing seed costs across its network, as well as using three acres of its Texas facility for growing both head lettuce and cut products.

Annually, the company targets an additional cost reduction goal between $2.5 million and $3 million.

Local Bounti says it expects modest sequential sales growth in Q3 2025. In the fourth quarter, Local Bounti will add a new, larger, family-sized Caesar salad kit to its salad kits line in collaboration with a large multinational retailer in the Pacific Northwest.
