Mission Produce brings the best of its Hass avocado supply to Asia Fruit Logistica

Fresh avocado producer and distributor Mission Produce will showcase its year-round avocado programs and highlight Mexico’s upcoming supply at Asia Fruit Logistica. The event will take place starting September 3 in Hong Kong, China.

“We follow the avocado seasons around the globe to deliver the right fruit to the right market at the right time,” said Nolan York, Director of Export Sales, Mission Produce. “Our diversified sourcing strategy is strengthened by vertical integration, which enhances our supply reliability and quality consistency. AFL is the perfect opportunity to connect with our global customer base on upcoming programs.”

At the moment, avocado supply is transitioning from Peru to Mexico, New Zealand, and Chile. As the largest exporter of avocados from Mexico, Mission anticipates a strong upcoming North American season with favorable sizing and consistent quality due to favorable climatic conditions.A cardboard box of avocado and three bags of avocados sit next to each other against a white background

Mission owns two packhouses in Mexico, and is vertically integrated in California, Peru, and Guatemala. The company also has a presence in Colombia, with a leading grower partner, and in South Africa through a joint venture. This year, Mission inaugurated a state-of-the-art avocado packing house in Guatemala, complementing its more than 1,700 acres of vertically integrated avocado groves.

In China, and through its partnership with Mr. Avocado, Mission has four ripening centers strategically located in key markets: Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, and Guangdong. In every facility, Mission’s Ripe Masters ripen avocados expertly to customer specifications.

“Ripe avocado programs have great potential to drive consumption in the Asia market, and our world-class network is paving the way for more opportunity,” added York.

Mission Produce will be at Asia Fruit Logistica at Hall 5, booth #5T40.
