Hectre celebrates its AI-powered orchard and packing solutions' explosive growth in Chile
Technology is out there in the fields, and no one knows that better than Hectre. The AI-powered orchard and packing solutions company flew to Madrid, Spain, to join the global fresh produce industry at Fruit Attraction 2025.
At the conference, the company showcased its entire range of tech products designed with fruit growers and packers in mind. In the midst of the event’s hubbub, Hectre CEO Matty Blomfield sat down with FreshFruitPortal.com to talk about the company’s close relationship with Chile.
“The expansion in the Chilean market is the fastest-growing for us as a company,” the executive said.

Blomfield explained that the Andean country’s fruit industry is continually striving to upgrade its logistics, packing, and production planning processes to grow and distribute more, better high-grade fruit. In that regard, Chile’s bet on cutting-edge technology is patent.
“What we're seeing out of Chile is so much forward-thinking and focus on what opportunities there are to leverage technology. We see it more in Chile than in any other market,” he said.
The CEO celebrated the Latin American country’s enthusiasm, calling it “an awesome market,” and underscoring the growth opportunity for a company like Hectre.
Tapping explosive growth in Latin America
Hectre has only been working with Chilean companies since 2023, but growth has been exponential, says Rafael Elorriaga, Hectre’s Regional Sales Manager.
In two years, the company has experienced a 600 percent growth in the Latin American country, expanding its client list to include powerhouses such as Verfrut, Unifrutti, Frusan, and Agrícola San Clemente.
“With the level of demand that we've got, we're at a point where we're starting to need to say no to new customers for this year,” says Blomfield.
But booming business hasn’t got the company sleeping on its laurels. Blomfield says Hectre is deeply committed to delivering high-quality service to its clients, which is why it is expanding its support network in Chile just in time for the local cherry harvest.
“We are sending out engineering and customer success teams on-site during the season,” he says. “We've got a lot of appreciation for the people that we're working with and supporting us as well. Let's really push them and make the Chilean cherry harvest a huge success this year.”
