At Fruit Attraction Madrid 2026, Costa Rican Banana will have its own stand in the international exhibitors section. This space will increase the visibility of the Costa Rican banana industry before thousands of visitors from around 150 countries.

The stand will serve as a meeting point for Costa Rican banana entrepreneurs and exporters to hold meetings with clients, suppliers, commercial partners, and other stakeholders in the value chain, with the aim of strengthening ties and exploring new business opportunities.

Fruit Attraction has consolidated itself as one of the most important platforms for marketing and promoting fresh produce in Europe, becoming a key forum for analyzing consumer trends, innovation, sustainability, and market development. For its 18th edition, participation from more than 2,500 companies is expected.

At the Global Produce & Floral Show 2026, Costa Rican Banana will be present at the booth of the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency of Costa Rica (PROCOMER), joining the national representation promoting the export offerings to international buyers and decision-makers.

This participation will allow Costa Rican bananas to be showcased at one of the most relevant events for the fresh produce industry in North America, facilitating interaction with importers, distributors, supermarket chains, logistics specialists, and other strategic trade partners.

Presence in key markets. Participation in both trade shows takes on special significance as they take place in two of the most important markets for Costa Rican bananas. During 2025, Costa Rica exported 110.4 million 18.4 kg boxes of bananas, with an F.O.B. value of USD 1.203 billion.

The European Union, established as the main destination for Costa Rican bananas, accounted for 49.03% of the exported volume in 2025. Meanwhile, the United States received 28.54% of the exported volume.

These figures demonstrate the strategic value of Fruit Attraction Madrid and the Global Produce & Floral Show in maintaining connections with current clients, identifying commercial opportunities, and showcasing Costa Rican bananas in their main export destinations.

During both activities, Costa Rican Banana will promote the attributes that have established the country as a benchmark in banana production and export, including compliance with high-quality standards, good agricultural practices, environmental protection, and commitment to the communities connected to production activities.

The banana sector remains a fundamental activity for the Costa Rican economy due to its generation of foreign exchange and employment, as well as its contribution to the economic and social development of producing regions.
