US avocado imports wrap 2025 with volume lift
The United States avocado market is ending the year on a fresh note, with a sharp increase in imports, intelligence firm Avobook notes in its week 52 report.

Total US volumes rose seven percent from the previous week, and stood 26 percent higher year-on-year. Unsurprisingly, Mexican supplies accounted for 97 percent of imports.
The late-year surge in the US contrasted with slower market conditions in Asia and lingering year-on-year declines in Europe.
Global avocado market shows mixed finish
Europe posted a late-year uptick, with shipments rising six percent week-on-week to an estimated 594 containers.
Despite the gain, the fruitās volumes remained 13 percent below 2024 levels. Chile led European supply with a 26 percent share, followed by Israel (24 percent), Colombia (21 percent), Spain (20 percent), and Morocco (9 percent).

China moved in the opposite direction. The market recorded a six percent decline from the prior week and ran 39 percent below last yearās numbers. Total volume reached 31 shipments, almost all from Chile, with a marginal contribution from Mexico.
