Dole's diversified segments power 8.2 percent revenue jump to $9.2 billion in 2025

Dole's diversified segments power 8.2 percent revenue jump to $9.2 billion in 2025

Tropical fruit giant Dole posted its financial results for 2025, reporting an 8.2 percent increase in revenue to $9.2 billion. Adjusted EBITDA sat at $395.4 million, and net debt was reduced by $30.7 million, reaching $606.5 million.

The company labeled the full-year results robust and celebrated growth across its Diversified segments, which the company says offset an anticipated decline in the Fresh Fruit division.

“We are very pleased to deliver a strong operating result for the year," said Carl McCann, Executive Chairman at Dole. "The group achieved several significant strategic milestones, including the sale of the Fresh Vegetables business, the initiation of a $100 million share repurchase program, and our transition to US Domestic Issuer filings as we target further index inclusion."

The executive added that Dole will be targeting an Adjusted EBITDA of at least $400 million in 2026. The milestone doesn't seem far off, as the company has been riding an upward trend in this front since 2023. For 2025, the indicator increased by 0.8 percent, primarily due to strong performance in Diversified Fresh Produce across the Americas and Europe. Dole also benefited from favorable foreign currency translation.

The biggest contrast from Dole's 2024 financial results is definitely the staggering drop in net income. The indicator reached $82 billion, a dramatic 43 percent drop from 2024, which was already down eight percent from 2023. The company noted that 2024 results benefited from the disposal of the Progressive Produce business, but the difference was offset by higher losses from discontinued operations and non-cash fair value losses on financial instruments, among other factors.

The company emphasized the positive 2025 performance of its Diversified Fresh Produce divisions in the Americas and Europe.

The latter reported an 11.3 percent revenue increase. The region benefited from a favorable exchange rate between the US dollar, the Swedish krona, the Euro, and the British pound, as well as strong results in Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia.

In the Americas, revenue decreased 1.8 percent, or $30.1 million, but on a like-for-like basis, increased by 3 percent. The contrast primarily responds to the disposal of the Progressive Produce business in mid-March 2024 and to increases in the North American market, driven by higher revenues for the majority of commodities sold.
