Andrés Fuenzalida steps down as Copefrut's General Manager after 11 years of leadership
A new cycle begins at Copefrut—through posts on its social media accounts, the company announced that Andrés Fuenzalida is stepping down as General Manager after 11 years in the role.
The company praised the executive’s leadership, commitment, and dedication throughout his tenure, emphasizing Fuenzalida’s role in driving company growth, strengthening teams, and "strategically confronting industry challenges."
“His work and legacy will continue to be an important part of the path we travel every day,” the post read.

New direction for Copefrut’s business
Along with the farewell, the firm welcomed Manuel Ibáñez as the company’s new General Manager. The executive served as the company’s Operations and Quality Manager for eight years.
“His experience and strategic vision will be key to continuing to drive the evolution of our business, strengthening our position in the industry, and continuing to generate value alongside our teams and producers,” stated the company.

In a LinkedIn post, Fuenzalida said he’d be succeeding Jose Luis Soler as the Chairman of the board. He wrote that the move is part of a “planned evolution.”
“Copefrut has grown, and it’s facing ever bigger challenges and needs to continue adapting its structure to project itself with a more long-term vision,” he wrote.
In the post, he also reported that former Commercial Director Felipe Casanova will be assuming as International General Manager, while the firm’s former Asia Market Manager, Andrés Nawrath, will take on the role of Commercial Manager.
