In 2013 the Alicante-based entity created the product line named 'Uvas solidarias', or 'Solidarity Grapes', after signing an agreement with the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

Under the agreement, Uvasdoce donates a certain percentage of proceeds from a grape line to support cancer research and prevention.

El Corte Inglés and MM Iberia began collaborating on the project after hearing about its creation.

The grapes will be sold in a one kilogram Gift Box, with the white Aledo variety grown in Alicante's Vinalopó region.

The company said that in the first two years the product sold out in just a few days. In 2013 sales surpassed estimates with more than 10,000 units sold, and 2014 saw even better results.

Whereas in previous years Uvasdoce had waited until the last few days of the year to begin selling, this year it will start from next weekend across all El Corte Inglés stores.
