Agroberries Group opens Asia division
Through a press release, Chilean berry producer and distributor Agroberries Group announced the launch of BerryWorld Asia, a new regional division that will serve as the central platform for distributing and marketing its berry varieties in Asia. BerryWorld Asia will have dedicated teams based in Shanghai and Hong Kong, which the company says highlights BerryWorld’s commitment to the region.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring BerryWorld to Asia, a region full of opportunity, innovation, and a deep appreciation for high-quality fresh produce," said Jorge Varela, CEO of Agroberries Group. "This launch marks a significant milestone in our global journey, and we’re looking forward to building strong partnerships and delivering our award-winning berry varieties to consumers across the region”.
This announcement marks the entry of the BerryWorld brand into China, which will be branded with a vibrant new label designed to resonate with local consumer preferences.
Under the leadership of Max Emden, Head of Asia, these teams will also ensure local expertise and deep market understanding, while building stronger relationships and providing greater support to all partners across Asia. This division will market berries under Agroberries Group’s trusted consumer brands, including BerryWorld, BerryFresh, and Red Crown.
Strengthening the berry global supply
The Agroberries Group has a robust global supply network with origins across the world, including Peru, Morocco, Chile, South Africa, Mexico, Zimbabwe, and Egypt. This allows the company to provide its clients with year-round availability of fresh berries.
Looking ahead, the Group is investing in future production projects in Asia to complement current supply and reinforce its vision of providing premium berries tailored to local market needs.
As part of this growth strategy, the team is proud to announce its first campaign in India, following clear signs of growing demand for high-quality blueberries. This launch marks a significant milestone in entering one of the region’s most dynamic and complex markets. It also reflects Agroberries Group’s long-term vision to expand further into Asia and unlock new opportunities for category growth.
