Peru Meet Up gears up to shine the spotlight on Latin American produce

With less than a month to go for the inaugural Asia Fruit Logistica Peru Meet Up, the stage is set for leading growers, exporters, importers, and marketers to explore new opportunities for Latin American produce in Asia and beyond.

The event will take place on October 28 and 29 at the Swissotel in Lima, Peru.

Fresh opportunities in old and new markets

Latin America is now a global produce powerhouse, thanks to a surge in investment in new varieties, logistics infrastructure, and groundbreaking technologies.

As part of the event's program, Gabriel Noboa of AgrĆcola Don Ricardo and Diego VĆ”squez of Westfalia Fruit will join Hortifrut to share their insights into how innovation is driving growth in three of the region’s biggest categories: grapes, avocados, and berries.

Tech transformation

The global market is becoming increasingly demanding every day, pressuring growers to deliver fresher, more consistent fruit to distant markets.

In this context, Peru Meet Up will showcase the breeding, packaging, sorting, and grading solutions helping Latin American producers compete on the world stage. Insights on this matter will come from Sun World’s Pablo RamirezPatricio Rebolledo of Paclife, and Unitec’s Nour Abdrabbo.
