Strong Asian focus expected for Chilean networking event

Chilean fruit union Fedefruta is expecting a good turnout of Asian buyers at the upcoming horticultural convention FRUITTRADE on Sept. 28-29 in Santiago.

The event will have around 80 talks, opening with a panel dedicated to the Far East market under the heading ' The conquest of Asia: what, how, when, where and why'.

The panel will be moderated by Decofrut president Manuel José Alcaíno, who will share his insights into the keys of success in Asian markets, while Asian importers will also give their perspectives.

The event will also host an international seminar dedicated to fresh and semi-processed vegetables, with an analysis of the demands and opportunities for these products in North American, European and Latin American markets.

In July, Walker gave www.freshfruitportal.com the wrap about what to expect at FRUITTRADE, the opportunities, the investments Chile needs, and a new emphasis on fresh and semi-processed vegetables, and gourmet products.
