Argentina fixes reference export values for blueberries

Argentina's tax authority has set its reference values for blueberry exports this year, starting at US$14 per 2.5kg box, website Lagaceta.com.ar reported. blueberry punnets small

The Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP) established seven new values for the export crop, based on operational dates and countries of export.

The US$14 level applies to fruit sold in September 2012, while the value is reduced to US$12 for blueberries shipped from Oct. 1-7.

From shipments made between Oct. 8-14, a US$10 value will apply.

The reference price then falls to US$8 (Oct. 15-21), US$6.50 (Oct. 22-28), US$6 (Oct. 29-Nov. 4) and finally US$5 (Nov. 5-Dec. 30).

These reference values will apply for tax purposes for fruit shipped to Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland , Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Russia, Canada and the United States.
