Market situation in the Northern Hemisphere, week 40 – 2013 (October 4)
Avocados
In North America, the U.S. market was still active on the West Coast but the East Coast was slow.
In Europe, the market on the continent was stable and dominated by Peruvian avocados. In the U.K., the market registered fast sales.
In Europe, volumes were observed from Argentina and Uruguay but but they were insufficient to establish a market.
In Asia, the first Chilean volumes arrived in Japan.
Grapes
In Europe, the market was well supplied by local fruit. No arrivals of Brazilian grapes had been reported yet.
