Peruvian asparagus exports up in Q3

Peruvian asparagus shipment volumes increased by 5.1% year-on-year in the third quarter, according to National Institute of Statistics and Information (INEI) reported by website Andina.com.pe. 
INEI reported this rate was above the agriculture sector's average of 2%, while the vegetable led the ranking of non-traditional products in the sector from January to September.
The main markets for Peruvian asparagus were the U.S., Spain, the U.K., the Netherlands and France.
Some other horticultural products outperformed asparagus volume growth however, such as mangoes at 11.5% and avocados at 25.2%.
Meanwhile, grape shipments increased by 2.1% during the period.
