Chilean avocados: Strong local market continues to limit exports
An attractive local market, along with low estimates for the avocado harvest, have kept Chile´s avocado shipments low. As of week 36, 10,000 tons have been sent, 46 percent of which have gone to the U.S. market.

Avocado Exports: Chile slips while South Africa and Peru grow
Chile’s Avocado exports will fall some 36% during the 2010/11 season compared to the previous year while Peru and South Africa will grow exports of the fruit by 10 and 11%, respectively.
