Chinese produce supplier rolls out new pesticide program to help growers meet global export standards
According to a press release, the company states the program is already active in ginger-growing areas and aims to help Chinese farmers manage pesticides, since many face local challenges and lack technical support. The program also assists farmers in meeting stricter export requirements and expanding into more international markets.

Chinese farmers are turning away from pesticides
Yao Changfeng, General Manager of Onedayone Group China, said that complying with maximum residue limits (MRLs) remains crucial for selling produce, especially in the European Union, which has some of the strictest rules in the world.
“In practice, non-compliant results can raise concerns over product consistency and reliability, potentially affecting order execution,” the executive said.
China is promoting the use of fewer pesticides and has tightened residue testing in recent years. The company states that industry data show that pesticide use in crop farming has gone down for eight years in a row, up to 2024.
