Macfrut 2026 strengthens its international leadership as a fully integrated supply chain event
Macfrut closes its 43rd edition by further consolidating its role as a leading international event for the global fruit and vegetable supply chain. The three-day trade show at the Rimini Expo Center confirmed a solid and growing trajectory: overall visitor numbers increased, driven by a strong acceleration on the international front, with foreign buyers (from over 80 countries) and international visitors up by more than 12 percent.
This success reflects a distinctive format that brings together 1,400 exhibitors and a wide network of themed exhibitions and dynamic areas.

The result was also made possible thanks to institutional partners. Special thanks go to the Italian Trade Agency for its outstanding collaboration, which significantly strengthened the presence of international markets by bringing delegations from all continents to Rimini, as well as to the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation for its commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture.
The trade fair also featured a rich program of high-level scientific conferences covering the entire supply chain, with contributions from leading international experts. During the opening ceremony, the launch of the Macfrut–Nomisma Fruit and Vegetable Observatory was announced. The strong presence of Italian large-scale retail was another key highlight, with an even more significant participation already expected for the next edition.
Macfrut 2026 sets the stage for further global expansion.
“For next year, we have already introduced several new features, starting with a new exhibition layout that will make the event more accessible for visitors and buyers, while enhancing its effectiveness for exhibitors,” said Patrizio Neri, President of Cesena Fiera, organizer of the event. “We are also extremely pleased with the level of attendance and the growing international profile of the trade fair.”

The executive also announced that Macfrut is in the final stages of signing a strategic agreement with Informa, organizer of Growtech, the world’s leading event for the pre-harvest sector. He added that the effort is aimed at further strengthening this segment within the event.
The next edition is already scheduled: the 44th Macfrut will take place from 20 to 22 April 2027.
