There are two options for the low-calorie Tex-Mex inspired breakfasts.

The first contains kale and baby spinach mixed with egg whites and turkey sausage. The second option includes a tomato-packed salsa paired with hash browns, scrambled eggs, chorizo and pico de gallo.

"Today consumers are looking for choices and food customized to their taste. McDonald's wants to be able to provide our guests with those options," said McDonald's owner/operator Clay Paschen III.

"McDonald's breakfast bowls... will stretch the range of fast food options, inviting customers to eat more foods when pressed for time."
