Chilean apple exports to drop 9 percent
The Pink Lady Committee of Frutas de Chile projects the 2026 apple export volume at 529,494 tons, a nine percent decrease from original April estimates. This figure also represents a slight year-on-year decline following the sector's recovery in 2025.
These findings are based on data from 31 companies, accounting for 78 percent of total sector volume and 92 percent of Pink Lady varieties.

Lower Chilean apple volumes, higher quality standards
As for variety performance, Pink Lady apples are set to reach 104,902 tons, a 15 percent drop year-on-year and a 10 percent decrease from April’s estimate.
Within this variety, Pink Lady is set to account for 76 percent of total volume, while the Cripps Pink is expected to concentrate the other 24 percent.

The industry body said projection variability is due to climatic and productive conditions, and stressed that while volumes are projected to decline, quality standards remain high.
As for other varieties, Galas will continue to lead Chilean apple exports with a projected 247,849 tons, a one percent year-on-year drop. According to the estimate, Fuji apples will experience the sharpest decrease, falling by 30 percent year-on-year.
