Harris Teeter, Consalo Family Farms donate 48,000 pounds of mandarin oranges to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina
Harris Teeter and Consalo Family Farms joined together in October to donate two truckloads of Little Smoochies fresh mandarin oranges to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, supporting Charlotte families in need.
In addition to the donation, representatives from both companies volunteered their time to help distribute the mandarin oranges, supporting Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina's ongoing efforts to provide nutritious food to neighbors experiencing hunger across the Charlotte region.

“Supporting families and expanding access to nutritious food are important parts of Harris Teeter’s commitment to the communities we serve,” said Danna Robinson, director of corporate affairs and customer relations. “Through the generosity of Consalo Family Farms and our partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, we can help make sure more people have access to the fresh food they need.”
“At Consalo Family Farms, we believe fresh, quality produce should be accessible to everyone, and we're proud to work with Harris Teeter to help make that possible,” said Morgan DiMartino, company vice president of marketing. “This donation is about more than delivering fresh fruit. It's about coming together with partners who share our values to nourish families, support our neighbors and make a positive impact in the communities we serve.”

Through food bank partnerships and work with producers, this effort is part of Harris Teeter’s long-standing commitment to providing hunger relief to families, children, seniors, and veterans within our communities.
