Latin American mango exports to the U.S. Ā increased by 24% to 2.3 million boxes in the last week of March, according to figures by the National Mango Board.

Mexico sent 1.67 million boxes representing an 18% increase on the previous week with projections for the next two weeks of 1.4 million and 2.03 million boxes respectively.

Weekly average prices for Mexico'sĀ AtaulfosĀ increased by 12.5%, while Haden and Tommy Atkins each showed a 4% decrease.

Peru's exports increased by 52% to 33,744 boxes with projections for the next two weeks to be 22,000 boxes each week with the price for Kents showing an 8% decrease.

Guatemala's exports rose by 72% to 569,135 boxes with projections of 546,480 and 617,000 boxes for the next two weeks with the average price for a box of Ataulfo falling by 7%.

Costa Rica's season ended on Mar. 31 with 457,700 boxes representing a fall of 52% on the previous week with the price of a Tommy Atkins falling by 7%.
