Oppy integrates Dole Diversified North America sales operations

Canadian fresh produce grower and distributor Oppy is merging operations with Dole’s North American division (DDNA USA) in an effort to strengthen its presence in the region.

The transition combines both companies’ resources under Dole plc’s Diversified Fresh Produce Americas & ROW business unit. Dole-branded products that fit Oppy’s existing catalog, including berries, grapes, citrus, and cherries, are now part of the company's portfolio.

Bananas, pineapples, and other tropical and exotic fruits marketed by Dole Fresh Fruit are not part of the transaction.

“By integrating DDNA USA’s expertise and proven sourcing capabilities, Oppy can offer new options and opportunities for growers and customers alike,” said John Anderson, Oppy chairman and managing partner. “It’s a purposeful milestone in our journey to grow with intention and impact while continuing to deliver on our ‘expect the world from us’ promise.”

Enda Walsh, president of Dole Diversified Americas, said the integration will expand the visibility and strengthen the Dole brand across the continent.

Oppy said the move supports its long-term growth strategy in North America and ensures continuity for customers and growers during the transition.
