New additions are in the pipeline for the international produce trade fair, Macfrut 2026. From Tuesday, 21 April to Thursday, 23 April 2026, the Rimini Expo Centre will host the only international fair for the entire fruit and vegetable supply chain, a few weeks earlier than in past years.

The 43rd edition of Macfrut

Macfrut 2026 will focus on two fruits that play a significant role in the global fruit and vegetable industry: Avocado and Mango.

As their supply chain expands rapidly to meet growing production and consumption demands, these exotic fruits are set to take centre stage at specialized events and in-depth technical and business-focused sessions, with contributions from experts, buyers and producers from around the world.

"We came up with the idea of organizing a series of B2B vertical sessions, which will allow producers and buyers to network with all the main production and sales areas of these products in just one day,’ explains Renzo Piraccini, President of Macfrut. "These events will be aptly named Avocado Day and Mango Day. They will take place on two separate days and are intended to generate new business opportunities."

Macfrut 2026 has also announced that the healthy food area will be expanded to showcase healthpromoting fresh and processed products that are in high demand among consumers today.

This initiative will promote so-called ‘superfoods’ through tastings, meetings, and demonstrations aimed at the hospitality and catering industry and distributors.
