When produce sings: Windset Farms is closing a show-stopping 2026
With several recognitions for its innovation and sustainability efforts, and a long-planned expansion now a reality, Windset Farms is delivering a perfect coda to a masterful 2026.
The company landed at the Global Produce & Floral Show in Orlando, Florida, with a brand-new snacking line and to showcase its recently inaugurated, award-winning greenhouse facilities in Delta, British Columbia.
FreshFruitPortal.com visited the Windset Farms booth to talk with the company’s Marketing Manager, Randy Church, who analyzed the milestones that marked a successful year for the brand and explained how growing premium produce can be a symphony.

Windset Farms has had quite a year. What are the milestones that you’re celebrating here at IFPA?
This year we’re showcasing our brand-new snacking line that we're very excited about, with a brand refresh: our premium greenhouse-grown tomatoes.
Windset Farms is also currently going through an expansion phase at our facility headquartered in Delta, British Columbia, where we're growing year-round produce 365 days, providing customers with fresh, delicious, flavorful produce all year round.
We also just recently had our 30-year anniversary, so we're very excited to tell people a little bit more about our growing operations and what produce we can provide for them.
Windset Farms stands out for its elegant, music-centric brand identity. Why did you decide to make this such a central part of the brand?
We have an art and music theme for all of our branding. John and Stephen Newell, the owners of Windset Farms, were always very musical growing up, and I think it just started off when they started the company.

When they started branding their own products, it was something that just resonated with them, and we've just continued with that same story as we've continued branding our products. We really find different brand names that resonate with the products themselves.
For example, our Fresco cucumbers are very fresh, snackable, and flavorful, while our Maestro bell peppers are bold and delicious. Symphony tomatoes are also a really good representation because they're a medley of different tomatoes, so it's a symphony of flavor.
We've always found a way to kind of tie in that messaging along with the branding to represent what the actual taste of the product is going to be.
Back in July, you announced you started planting at the Delta Greenhouse, which has been recognized for its innovation. What does this recognition mean for the brand?
We are so excited to announce our Delta expansion, which has been ongoing for the last few years and continues to grow. We recently planted 38 acres of greenhouse production, so we are currently harvesting tomatoes and cucumbers from that greenhouse.

It's all with LED ultra-lit lighting, which means that Windset Farms is able to achieve summertime yields in the middle of winter. The lighting is also approximately 50 percent more energy-efficient compared to traditional greenhouse lighting.
We are very excited to incorporate the latest innovations and technology in this greenhouse to provide fresher produce for our consumers all year round.
