Total Produce to launch new “Total Talk” social media platform
Irish multinational Total Produce plans to pilot a new in-house social media innovation that aims to improve communications between company departments.
The "Total Talk" platform will be on show at Fruit Logistica in Berlin next week, designed to enable content sharing - whether it's messages, photos, videos or documents - across technical teams, buying departments and commercial divisions.
To be trialed on desktop and smartphone applications, in a release the company said Total Talk would facilitate seamless mobile communications between colleagues, irrespective of the division, company or country in which they operate.
"Total Talk is all about promoting transparency, pooling expertise and sharing core competencies," said Total Produce marketing director Vincent Dolan, adding that while the platform would be confined to employees, ultimately it would be customers and producers who benefit.
