Global cherry industry newsletter launched in three languages

A biweekly newsletter is being launched that will focus on the latest developments in the cherry industry around the world.

The Cherry Express has been developed by Chile-based Yentzen Group in conjunction with its three sites that provide fruit and vegetable industry news - FreshFruitPortal.com, Portalfruticola.com, and ChinaFruitPortal.com.

Yentzen Group launched The Cherry Express in Spanish earlier this month, and from the beginning of November the newsletter will also be provided in English and Mandarin Chinese.

The Cherry Express will provide a mixture of both exclusive content related to the cherry industry as well as a recap of the industry's most significant news items on the portals over the previous two weeks.

"The Cherry Express has been developed to make sure that everyone in the cherry industry has the latest and most relevant information from this exciting sector," said Gustavo Yentzen, managing director of Yentzen Group.

"By providing this biweekly newsletter in three languages, English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, we are ensuring that the entire supply chain can stay ahead of the curve."

Although The Cherry Express will keep readers up-to-date with the latest cherry news and developments from around the world, it will focus on whichever countries are in season and their key markets.

With the Chilean cherry campaign now getting underway, The Cherry Express launched on Oct. 18 and included exclusive interviews with key representatives from the South American country and also with George Liu of China-based importer Frutacloud.

Over the coming months, The Cherry Express will also provide news from other Southern Hemisphere exporting countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, and South Africa, as well as market news from the key destinations. The focus will then turn over to the Northern Hemisphere production countries.
