Camposol kicks off its 2026/27 blueberry season in China and consolidates its Kai Péi Guǒ brand
Camposol, one of Peru's largest blueberry exporters, kicked off its 2026/27 season in China, shipping 342 tons of fresh fruit between weeks 18 and 25, representing a 631 percent year-on-year increase.
The result builds on a successful 2025/26 season, when the firm exported 9,020 tons of blueberries to Asia, positioning itself as Peru's largest exporter to the continent, and China’s number one supplier of the fruit. The company has also strengthened its position in the region with 凯沛果 (Kai Péi Guǒ), a brand Camposol developed specifically to connect with Chinese consumers.

“China has become one of the most strategic markets for Camposol, and 凯沛果 represents our long-term commitment to bring this market the very best of what we do,” said company CEO Ricardo Naranjo.
A brand built specifically for China
In a press release, the company explained that the name 凯沛果 is one of 300 names initially proposed, and it’s composed of three characters, each with its own relevant significance.
“凯” evokes victory and vitality, and it’s an echo of ‘Cam’, of Camposol. “沛” conveys abundance, fullness and energy, and carries within it the radical for water, a symbol of life and nourishment, while “果” means fruit.
“We did not improvise. We invested. Because China deserves that,” said Luis Miguel Baanante, China Manager for the firm.

Quality, logistics and innovation at the service of the Chinese market
To align with Chinese consumer preferences, including optimal firmness and shelf life, Camposol says its operations team maintains strict control over cultivation and post-harvest handling.
The firm prides itself on local retailers’ reports that the firm's blueberries stand out for their long shelf life, stable quality and strong balance of sweetness and acidity.
The company’s presence in China dates back to 2018, with the opening of its local subsidiary. The strategy is also underpinned by logistics and innovation. The Port of Chancay has significantly shortened shipping times to China, and the company was among the first Peruvian companies to export blueberries through this route.

In the coming years, the company will continue bringing new blueberry varieties to market and, through 凯沛果, will keep offering Chinese consumers fresh, delicious and consistently high-quality blueberries.
