IFPA debuts first-of-its-kind Global Intelligence Engine, an IA-powered, data-driven platform for the ag industry
The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) has launched an AI-empowered Global Intelligence Engine, a members-only data and insights platform that promises to transform the way the fresh produce and floral industry accesses, understands, and acts on information.
Officially unveiled at the Global Produce & Floral Show at Anaheim, California, the Global Intelligence Engine was demoed live at the IFPA booth, drawing significant engagement from members across the supply chain who experienced firsthand the platform’s ability to deliver instant answers, custom analytics, and visualizations powered by proprietary IFPA data and expert analysis.
“Imagine having the ability to generate highly customized, granular reports on the topics that matter most to you—whether it’s broad market trends, regulatory developments, or deep, category-based consumer insights,” said Patrick Vizzone, Chair of the 2026 IFPA Board of Directors, during his remarks at the Global Show.
Unlike static reports or dashboards, the Engine is interactive and AI-empowered, enabling users to ask direct questions about markets, pricing, and demand, then receive clear, data-backed answers in moments.
According to the executive, this transformative platform unites IFPA’s vast, proprietary data with the power of Large Language Models to unlock the rapidly advancing potential of AI.
Global Intelligence Engine: An IFPA-powered platform for the industry
The Global Intelligence Engine is the first platform of its kind in the industry—a single, integrated intelligence system that aggregates up-to-date point-of-sale data, consumer behavior trends, import/export flows, production patterns, and IFPA’s expert insights into a single intuitive interface.
“Our industry cannot, and will not, be left behind,” said IFPA CEO, Cathy Burns. “The use of AI is making our association more efficient, but beyond that, we’re ensuring that every member has the power to see around corners, to anticipate trends, and act faster with confidence."
Burns labeled the Global Intelligence Engine as "a difference maker" for the industry, with the "power to make a financial difference" to IFPA members' businesses.
The launch of the Global Intelligence Engine positions IFPA as the first association in the global fresh produce and floral industry to offer a dynamic, AI-enabled data platform powered by both proprietary and partner-sourced intelligence.
This innovation directly supports IFPA’s mission to drive industry-wide prosperity and serves as a key pillar in the association’s strategic priority to deliver transformative value to members.
