Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport has been approved as a designated supervision site for imported fruit

According to China Civil Aviation Network, Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport was recently approved as a designated port of entry for imported fruit into China, becoming the first in the Quanzhou Customs District. 

This marks a significant breakthrough for Quanzhou's airports in fresh food cold chain logistics.

The supervised facility was built according to the General Administration of Customs requirements and is equipped with high-standard inspection areas, cold chain storage areas, quarantine processing areas, and supporting technical facilities. 

Quanzhou Jinjiang welcomes state-of-the-art import capabilities

The facility is equipped with advanced temperature control systems, quarantine processing facilities, and information-based monitoring equipment, capable of meeting the full-process monitoring needs of imported fruit from unloading, inspection, quarantine processing, to storage and transshipment.

This qualification will further enhance Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport's comprehensive service capabilities. 

Leveraging the airport's existing Southeast Asian international route network, an efficient and convenient air freight channel for fresh produce imports can be established, effectively reducing customs clearance time and lowering logistics costs for businesses.

Currently, Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport has two designated supervision sites for imported aquatic animals for consumption and imported fruit, giving it diversified functions as a port for imported fresh produce.
