Argentina launches HLB awareness campaign

A variety of Argentine agricultural institutions and professionals have formed the Regional Committee for the Prevention of Huanglongbing (HLB) following a spate of cases worldwide, website Lagaceta.com.ar reported.

The committee announced it would launch a national prevention and education campaign about HLB, in a meeting attended by Argentina’s National Food Quality and Safety Service (SENASA) and the HLB Technical Committee, among others.

The story reported the group agreed to work on the design of artwork, pamphlets, fliers and brochures to inform the population of the harm HLB - otherwise known as 'citrus greening' disease - could cause.
