Experts in clementines, oranges, and satsumas, the company was founded in 1920 by Bautista Gual. But it wasn't until Juan Gual Granell came along that the company took off internationally, establishing Burriana citrus in the US and transforming the family company into the first Spanish private firm to export clementines to North America, reported local newspaper El Periodico Mediterraneo

The firm has since consolidated its presence in more than a dozen countries, with a strong footprint in markets such as Belgium, England, and Canada.
