In Europe, subsidiary Dole Nordic AB completed the acquisition of Greenfood AB’s fresh produce division, expanding its operational scale and capabilities in Sweden, Finland, and the rest of the Nordic region.

The acquisition includes a modern nearly 87,000-square-foot distribution center in Helsingborg, Sweden, which will serve as a platform for future investments in storage technologies, including advanced automation, robotics, inventory management systems, and warehouse logistics solutions.

"We are pleased to welcome the GFP collaborators to our organization, a team of professionals who have consistently delivered value to their customers," said Niels Klem Thomsen, CEO of Dole Nordic AB, in a statement issued by the company. "Together we will strengthen our platform in the Nordic region, improve our value proposition for customers, and build a stronger foundation to drive the growth of fresh fruit and vegetable consumption in the region."
