US$30M worth of marijuana found in Colombian banana cases
Colombia's Highway Police have seized 900kg of marijuana hidden in banana cartons near the city of Tuluá, website Elpais.com.co reported.
The marijuana is estimated to have a value of US$30 million and was hidden in 12 banana bunches, in a shipment of 30 boxes that were carried by a Fargo truck north of Cali.
The driver and his assistant were arrested by the police, and it is believed the drugs were to be distributed in Tuluá itself.
