Aussie mango production to soar

Cold weather in the Australian state of Queensland has led to an expected 'bumper' mango crop this season, media agency Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported.

Australian Mango Industry Association North Queensland director John Nucifora, said the flowering this season was the best he's seen, the story reported.

"One of the best flowerings probably in mango history. We very rarely get a flowering where it's so uniform and all comes out at once," he was quoted as saying.

"When you've got such a uniform flower you've got to go hell for leather and hope you get it home."
