Peruvian dried pineapple exports rise 37 percent
Peruvian dried pineapple exports scored $3.4 million in revenue in early 2026, shipping 404 tons during the first quarter. The numbers mark a six percent value uptick and a 37 percent increase in volume year-on-year, according to a report by data intelligence firm Fluctuante.
The enhanced performance reflects growing international interest in natural, convenient, and value-added foods, where dried fruits continue to gain ground due to their versatility, associated health benefits, and sustainability.

However, increased international competition and heavy dependence on the United States market are putting pressure on prices amid rising global supply.
Dried pineapple's highly concentrated market
Peruvian dried pineapple was exported to only four international markets during the examined period. The US accounted for more than 95 percent of shipments and recorded a 37 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year.
Limited presence in alternative destinations, such as Chile and Canada, reduces opportunities to access better prices and limits the ability to respond to potential changes in international demand, reinforcing the need to diversify export destinations, Fluctuante noted in its assessment.

A total of eight companies participated in Peru’s dried pineapple exports during the period analyzed.
Greenbox led with a 59 percent market share and exported 237 tons. Union De Negocios Corporativos ranked second, with a 28 percent share and exports totaling 114 tons. Rounding out the top three was Elite Food Perú, which shipped 20 tons and accounted for a five percent share of the market.
Satipo, in the JunÃn region, remains one of the country’s main production hubs.
