Data released by the South African Table Grape Industry (SATI) shows the country's exports for the season were coming to a close in week 11, with a 74% fall compared to week 10.

The week's exports took cumulative shipments to 39,387,192 metric tons (MT), but shipments for the week itself were around 2 million MT less than in week 10.

Export volumes to the U.K. fell by 97.8% while shipments bound for Northern Europe fell by 85.4% to 232,597MT.

Shipments to South East Asia only fell by 10.4% to 338,070MT, overtaking Northern Europe as South Africa's largest grape export market during the week.

SATI confirmed the Berg River region finished packing while the Hex Valley region was still packing Barlinka, Dauphine and Crimson grapes.
