Port workers there will continue to carry out their solidarity strike with stevedores from the northern port of Mejillones.

San Antonio Port Workers Front spokesperson Sergio Vargas told www.freshfruitportal.com the strike would continue indefinitely until workers could sit down to talk with the government.

Export sector sources said 3.5 million boxes of fruit were currently held in San Antonio, with 500 containers destined for South Korea and other destinations.
