World-leading agro-exporter Camposol began its grape harvest in Piura, Peru, marking the start of a campaign marked by plans to anticipate the potential effects of El Niño.
On his LinkedIn profile, the company’s CEO, Ricardo Naranjo, posted about this year’s grape harvest, which began nearly a month earlier than usual for the area and almost two months ahead of last year's campaign.

Far from jumping the gun, the executive explained that the early-season kickoff was a decision designed to reduce risks and effects of potentially more severe weather conditions. The strategy, Naranjo noted, results from the coordinated effort of Camposol’s agricultural, operational, and commercial teams, along with careful planning and the application of technical expertise.
"Innovation and continuous improvement allow us to adapt our operations, better manage risks, and build increasingly resilient agriculture," the CEO emphasized.

He added that agriculture requires permanent observation and adaptation to environmental conditions, with decisions aimed at strengthening the resilience of its operations in the long term.
